Settings

Admin / Chats

Admin combines host management and account maintenance. Without host administrator permissions, this tab is called Chats and contains your own archive and sharing controls.

1 min readUpdated: October 2026

Step by step

  1. 01

Open Settings → Admin or Chats.

  2. 02

    Restore archived conversations with Restore.

  3. 03

Review active links under Shared chats and deactivate links you no longer need.

  4. 04

Use user management and maintenance actions only for the specific change you intend.

Admin / Chats

  • Users and Maintenance for host administrators
  • Archived chats
  • Shared chats
  • Tab is called Chats for other users

Users

Host administrator.

  • User management
  • Username and password
  • Administrator status
  • OS user
  • Workspace
  • Delete

Archived chats

  • Archived chats
  • Search
  • Restore
  • Archiving versus deleting

Shared chats

  • Active chat shares
  • Status
  • Deactivate

Maintenance

Host administrator.

  • Update Metis
  • Reset account
  • Review confirmations and the data affected

Good to know

  • A workspace path and OS user determine an account's execution context.
  • Reset and deletion actions differ from archiving. Read the specific confirmation dialog.
  • Deactivating a share does not delete the original chat.

Troubleshooting

If Users is missing, check your account role. A project owner is not automatically a host administrator.
