Workspace

Desktops

Desktops displays supported interactive screens from connected remote devices. Connection status and local control permissions determine availability.

Step by step

  1. 01

    Connect the device under Settings → Devices.

  2. 02

    Allow Computer Use and the required local screen and control permissions.

  3. 03

    Open Workspace → Desktops and select the device.

  4. 04

    Use the preview, Pause/Resume, and file upload for your task.

Desktops

Requires a compatible connected device with desktop capabilities.

  • Select a remote desktop
  • Preview
  • Mouse and keyboard
  • File transfer

Good to know

  • macOS requires Screen Recording and Accessibility.
  • Linux desktop control requires a supported X11 environment.
  • An online client without a shared desktop may still provide other permitted tools.

Troubleshooting

If a surface is empty, select an existing document or ask Metis to create a plan or canvas.
