Settings

Agent — Runtime & memory

Agent settings control default runtimes, waiting for provider limits, and global memories. Runtime and model quotas are separate limits.

Step by step

  1. 01

Open Settings → Agent → Settings.

  2. 02

Choose a default runtime or Unlimited, then save.

  3. 03

Decide whether Metis may wait for a reported provider reset and resume the same task.

  4. 04

Manage global memories under Agent → Memories.

Memories

  • Error status

Good to know

  • The default runtime applies to newly started subagents and project agents. Existing tasks retain their limit.
  • When a coordinator reaches its time limit, assigned tasks can continue under their own limits.
  • Stop or Cancel ends the selected agent work, including its child tasks.

Troubleshooting

If a task is waiting for a limit, check whether the provider reported a reset time. Unlimited does not remove provider limits.
