Settings

Set up voice input

Transcription converts a recording into text for the composer. Its provider, model, and credentials are selected independently of the chat model.

Step by step

  1. 01

    Choose OpenAI, Local, Browser transcription, or Custom endpoint.

  2. 02

    Enter the required transcription model and, if needed, endpoint and API key.

  3. 03

    Save the key when required.

  4. 04

    Enable Microphone button and test a short recording.

Good to know

  • Review the transcription before sending.
  • A local transcription service must be reachable from the Metis host.

Troubleshooting

If a setting has no effect, check its scope. Running tasks or existing uploads may retain their previous state.
